An Introduction | Joshua 1:1-2

The book of Joshua continues the story of God’s faithfulness as He fulfills His promise to give His people a land—a place for His presence to dwell with them. Through the conquest, God’s justice and mercy are revealed. But more than conquest, Joshua is about promise, inheritance, presence, and rest. Ultimately, it testifies to the greater Joshua, Jesus Christ—the “yes” to all God’s promises—who secures our eternal inheritance and rest in the new Jerusalem, where God will dwell with His people forever.
