Staff

Grace is led by a plurality of biblically qualified elders (1 Tim. 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9; 1 Pet. 5:1-4), but ultimately, Jesus Christ is the head of His church (Ephesians 5:23; Colossians 1:18).
Elders seek to faithfully shepherd and oversee His people.
The elders use a handbook to provide a framework for elder ministry that fosters unity in thought and practice amongst the team.
Grace also has a team of deacons who, under the direction and oversight of the elders, faithfully seek to attend to the needs of the church.
The deacons also use a handbook to provide a framework for deacon ministry.

Stuart McCray

Staff Elder (Associate Pastor)

Stuart grew up in a Christian home and was exposed to the Gospel at a young age, but at that time, Jesus and his Gospel were just "assets" to believe in, in order to fly under the radar. It wasn't until college that God, through a faithful group of guys, granted to Stuart gifts of faith and repentance. It was then that he turned from his sins and trusted in Jesus's sinless life, substitutionary death, and victorious resurrection for salvation.
Stuart is married to his wife Lauren and together they have four children: Payton Anne, Owen, Kaitlyn, and Nathan. He enjoys sports, rooting for the local pro teams and the Tennessee Volunteers.
Stuart has elder oversight of the Discover Class, Home Groups, Leadership Development, Men's Ministry, and Youth Ministry.

Bob Cocchiaro

Staff Elder (Associate Pastor)

Bob was called to faith in Christ by God’s grace shortly after he began attending GBC in September 2014. Bob spent most of his childhood in Maryland where he was born but also lived in Nevada and California during his high school years. After graduating from the University of Maryland at College Park, he moved to Virginia where he has lived for over 30 years. In 2018 Bob retired from his accounting practice to pursue seminary studies at Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) where he completed his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies. He is also pursuing a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling as RTS.

Jeremy graduated from George Mason University and is currently the Chief of Human Capital at the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Jeremy is married to his wife Sarah, and together they have two children: Caleb and Hannah. They have been members of GBC for several years.

Mike Webster

Non-Staff Elder

Mike was born and raised in Virginia. Throughout his middle school and high school years he attended church most Sundays, either with his parents or with his best friend. But despite regular church attendance, he still didn’t know Christ. In 2000, Mike graduated from high school and joined the military. This led to him being assigned to various locations in the country. In 2010, two years after being married, the Lord saved Mike, calling him to Himself. Following his conversion, Mike was pursued by men who challenged him in his sanctification. In 2018, the Websters (which now included their son) moved back to Virginia and started attending GBC. Soon after, the Websters became Covenant Members and joined a Home Group. Since becoming a member, Mike has served in the Youth Ministry, as a Home Group Leader, and as a Deacon. Mike is also very involved with GBC’s local outreach efforts. After retiring from the military, the Websters decided to stay in the area permanently. Mike is married to his wife and together they have 2 children. He enjoys playing disc golf, basketball, and hiking. Mike was a part of the inaugural cohort in the GBC Leadership Training Program.
Mike has elder oversight of Home Groups, Local Outreach, and Men's Ministry.

Ryan and Lacey have four girls and two boys, and have served at GBC in a variety of ways over the years. He enjoys unpacking scripture and teaching and encouraging others with God's truth. Ryan is employed as a government contractor in the area of data analytics, and likes to keep up with current events, coach youth baseball, and root for the Nationals.
