For over 15 years, GBC has hosted VBS, an engaging week of friends, fun, and learning. God’s Word is presented to children through Bible teaching, worship music, and theater performances.

This year, we had so much fun at Wonder Junction: Marvel at Jesus, Live for His Glory! We enjoyed an amazing week of wonder as we discovered who Jesus is and what He has done for us!

Who is teaching your kids matters!
All GraceKids staff and volunteers are required to submit to a thorough third-party background check and to participate in child-protection training. 

This year, our JUNGLE JOURNEY was amazing! We traveled to a world of wonder that delighted our senses while captivating our hearts and minds at The Great Jungle Journey: An Epic Cruise from Genesis to Revelation. We cruised through jungle rivers, making stops at seven ports of call along the way—each starting with a C. These represented seven key biblical events—the 7 C’s of History (Creation, Corruption and Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ and the Cross, and Consummation).

Lauren is a native of the Northern Virginia area. She grew up in Fairfax, and after attending college at Virginia Tech, moved back to the area where she met her husband Scott. It wasn’t until after college that the Lord, in His abundant grace, saved Lauren through the hearing of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Lauren and Scott have been covenant members of GBC since 2010 and began volunteering in the Children’s Ministry shortly after they began attending. In 2015 Lauren was honored to join the Children’s Ministry leadership team, leading the Charging Up Ministry (Nursery-5yrs old) before transitioning to the Director role in 2021. It has been such a joy and privilege serving the Lord through this ministry and working to engage our youngest members at Grace with the life-saving message of the gospel every Sunday. “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ” Romans 10:17.
 
Lauren and Scott have three children together: Norah, Nolan, and Ian.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, being outside, and gardening.
